I did a teeny bit of sewing in high school 10 years ago, but since then have only hemmed a few pairs of pants here and there and made some not-so-great pajama pants and simple tops. They were really nothing special, but I love the idea of being able to make clothes that I both like, and that fit me properly.
While I do have the very basics of sewing down pat, I really have no idea how to fit a garment or alter patterns, and wouldn't even know where to start. But I'm going to... start, that is. So this blog is here to act as a sort of 'journal' of my sewing projects, what I did right, what I would do differently next time and other snippets of things I've learned along the way.
Thanks for checking out my blog, although it's a bit bare at the moment. If you stick with me, I'll try to post more soon as I slowly figure out how to use my sewing machine, my camera, and blogger.

Such a great idea! :-) I would love to learn how to sow. We've been to a tailor recently to get a suit and dress made for a wedding and I was so amazed by what these people can do and create. It's such a great and creative thing to do! I will definitely follow along. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks Claudia! It is pretty amazing what some people can make. I did a couple of lessons with a wedding-dress maker, and the things she makes are just soooo gorgeous. I have a long way to go yet, but practice makes perfect... or so they tell me.
